VIRUS INFECTED BIBLE TRANSLATIONS

INTRODUCTION

There are viruses that attack human bodies causing diseases, sufferings and premature death. There are viruses also that invade computers damaging the system’s program and the integrity of stored data. Similarly, there were spiritual viruses that have infected Bible Translations corrupting the purity of Christian doctrines and wrecking havoc on our religious systems.

Some flaws were unintentional on the part of the translators, as in the choice of exact words, which could be improved in later editions. But others were obviously perpetrated with bias and malice. As you scan this anti-virus booklet, you will discern the hand of the Devil orchestrating the subtle corruption of divine words and institutions; you will realize that there were translators who deliberately introduced some changes to taint, contaminate, and spoil the text of the Holy Scriptures in favor of some unscriptural doctrines.

The Holy Bible is a very wonderful thing! Thanks to GOD, we have this awesome compilation of Scriptures. And thanks to those persevering men who invested their time, effort and lives to preserve and publish the greatest Book of all time. It is a mine of knowledge and wisdom; the literary embodiment of Moses (The Law) and of John (The Testimony). It shows and directs us to believe the Only True GOD (the FATHER) and HIS Only Begotten CHRIST (the SON); for in this Knowledge, Love and Faith humanity may obtain the most coveted, Life Eternal.

THE VIRUSES AND
THEIR SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES


1.“GIVE TO THE LORD”

I once read an article relating the testimony of a former demon-possessed individual, who narrated his sad experience how demons urged him to do mischief. But there was one thing that he never understood. He was told to memorize the whole chapter of Psalms 29 of the King James Version. Then he was ordered to recite the eleven verses. To his wonderment the evil spirits were so pleased, laughing and giggling!

I wanted to know why; so, I curiously studied Psalms 29:1-11. The whole passage looks great. It speaks of the holiness, majesty and tremendous power of GOD like, “HIS glory thunders”, HIS voice breaking the cedars of Lebanon, etc. Down to the last verse where HE gives strength and peace to HIS people there seems to be nothing wrong. But when I reread the chapter, there is one thing that pricked my heart -- the first word of the first verse. It says, “Give to the LORD, O you mighty, give to the LORD glory and strength.” This verse naughtily connotes that all those tremendous display of glory and strength that proceeded from “the LORD” was only given to HIM by the “mighty” ones – the angels and demons! Reflecting on that, hurt my heart, because GOD is the source of all power and goodness.

“GOD, who made the world and all things in it...neither is worshipped with men’s hands as though HE needed anything, seeing HE gives to all life and breath and all things.” (Acts 17:24-25)

“Who has first given to HIM, and it will be recompensed to him again? For of HIM and
through HIM, and to HIM are all things to WHOM be glory forever. Amen.” (Rom. 11:35-36)

So I said, the employed word, “Give” must be inaccurate. I felt that the correct diction should be something like “Give credit”, “Attribute”, or more precisely, “Ascribe”.

Not long, I came across the New International Version and the New World Translation where the word, “Ascribe” was used. “Ascribe to the LORD, O you mighty, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.” Oh, what a relief! Demons will not mock GOD and the Christians anymore.

2.“HOLY GHOST”

When I was in college our Professor in Argumentation and Debate, a smart Lawyer who annotated the Philippine Constitution, touched something that mentioned “Holy Ghost”. Then he made a side comment, “a ghost, and you call it holy?” My mind caught it; so at break time I went to the library to verify the synonyms and meaning of the word “ghost”. It yielded, “apparition, specter, phantasm, spook, wraith, poltergeist.” Ghost is “the supposed phantom of somebody who has died, believed to appear as a shadowy form, or to cause sounds, the movements of objects, or a frightening atmosphere in a place.”

The negative connotation of “ghost” is further worsened by its common usage, where you have ghost stories, ghost busters, ghost whisperers, ghost train, haunted houses, and ghost the movie. You see, the term suggests horror and something mysteriously repulsive.

Some of our fellows in the Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements who are practicing “Holy Ghost baptism” later in the process acquired a sense of incomprehensible dread. Maybe, deep inside, they are picking up the odd note. Eventually, some kind of nervous guilt would develop, considering that “Ghost” which to them was so holy also stars in gruesome tales!

The King James Version has used the term, “Ghost” since 1611. After 372 years the New King James Version came out with “Spirit” replacing “Ghost” following the lead of the Scofield Reference Bible (1909), New World Translation (1961), and the New International Version (1978). Unfortunately, many Pentecostal groups and Christian fellowships are still using the outdated “Ghost” not realizing the demeaned status of the word which is already at the threshold of profanity. Satan kept staining it, like a white wood turning into a charcoal, to the point that it is no longer appropriate to say, “white charcoal”.

In good faith our “Born Again” brethren were referring to THE HOLY SPIRIT, but the ghost term they are using was not sacred; not to mind its eerie definition (phantom of somebody who has died). The implication is dangerous. Beware of “demon-ghosts”; for there were reports of cases where demons pretending as ghosts of dead relatives went about possessing people. You know that so-called ghost apparition is a foul play of demons!

So, we who understood this matter should zealously warn our brethren with love and fear. I would further suggest that “HOLY SPIRIT” be written in all capital letters with a definite article “The” and uttered with all reverence and not be mentioned disrespectfully in any unworthy manner, because:

“Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men;
but the blasphemy against THE SPIRIT shall not be forgiven men. And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven him; but anyone who speaks against THE HOLY SPIRIT will not be forgiven either in this age or in the age to come.” (Matthew 12:31-32)

3. I JOHN 5:7

My first Bible was King James Version (1611).I have read it for years especially the New Testament part. I was delighted with the poetic old English style of “thou” and “thee” that for me other new English versions were unpalatable and less authoritative. But one day I learned to appreciate and respect other versions after reading I John 5:7; “For there are three that testify,” that’s all. It was cut short I sensed. Referring back to my KJV, I realized that a long and very important part was missing in the text: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.”

The New International Version (NIV) has provided a clarification on its footnote: “Late manuscript of the Vulgate ‘testify in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. And there are three that testify on earth: the’ not found in any Greek manuscript before the sixteenth century.” That was incredibly amazing and, yes, disappointing!

Then at every opportunity I would take up the matter with any Bible enthusiast I meet, and it would always surprise them too; until someone showed me an article about the so-called “John’s comma” referring to I John 5:7. (You’ll find plenty of that in the websites, now). The article affirmed that the said clause was maliciously inserted to back up the Trinity doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church which was under fire by the Reformers in the sixteenth century. The Latin Vulgate is the Catholic Version of the Bible. Alas, the Vulgate’s virus was transmitted to the Protestant’s Versions!

So I kissed goodbye my first dear Bible (KJV 1611) and carried a larger Scofield Reference Bible where “Ghost” was replaced with a better term, “SPIRIT” while the old English style was retained. Scofield, respecting the KJV format, did not eliminate I John 5:7 but simply put a footnote: “It is generally agreed that this verse has no manuscript authority and has been inserted.” Oh, wow, what a daring feat for such a man whoever tinkered with the Holy Scriptures! That was a vile devilish act. What was the sinister motive? Obviously, the scheme was to come up with a Biblical support for the “Three-Gods-in-One” dogma, because the Roman council has declared that aside from the One True GOD (the FATHER in Heaven) taught in the Bible, the Son is true GOD also, and the SPIRIT is true GOD also. Aha, that incomprehensible “One-God-ness-of-the-Three” philosophy must have come from the gates of hades out to challenge the clean and original “One GOD, One Lord” Apostolic doctrine. Take note and be aware!

4.“LET US MAKE MAN”

One time, I witnessed two men quarreling over a verse in the Old Testament, Genesis 1:26. One was forcefully asserting that GOD has a companion when HE made man in the beginning, citing that companion as the “Word-GOD” (Christ) of John 1:1. The other man was angrily contending that GOD has no co-maker at all, not even angels, citing the very next verse (27) that GOD (not GODS) created man. Others joined their altercation and it never ends.

I do not like to join debates but I would always join the search especially on issues that find no immediate solution. So I studied Genesis 1:26 and
found out that the source of their brawl was the Hebrew word “ELOHIM”, translated into English as, “GOD”. The root word of ELOHIM was EL. EL means, Mighty. It is a common term that was usually used to call great beings. It was not exclusively used for GOD, such that when the Hebrews mean their GOD they have to use modifiers like, The GOD of Abraham, Most High GOD, etc. Good for us who use English, because we could distinguish HIM in writing by using all capital letters, GOD; the Hebrew writing has one set of letterings.

Now, to show the great supremacy of our CREATOR as well as to distinguish GOD from other nation’s gods, Moses has to do something to magnify EL. The Prophet used a conjugated term, “ELOHIM” instead of the common, “EL”. Now, “ELOHIM” sounds plural. Yet Moses and the Hebrew people did not see any hitch because they knew so well that GOD was and will always be ONE. The term was called uni-plural, to mean, numerically one but plural with respect to GOD’s unspeakable greatness. An example is when we respectfully address a singular second person, we say, “You are” rather than, “You is”.

So, back to Genesis 1:26. No translator rendered ELOHIM as “GODS” even though they knew it was a plural word. That’s pretty good. However, in this particular verse translators rerouted its plurality to the pronouns. And that was how the monstrous virus was created: “And GOD said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness.” But the translators were inconsistent, because on the next verse and thereafter they pulled back to a singular pronoun: “So GOD created man in HIS own image, in the image of GOD created HE him; male and female created HE them.” That rendition was unfair to HIS companion, if indeed HE has. To be consistent and fair it should have been:

“In the beginning GODS created… and GODS said, Let US make man… So GODS created man in THEIR image, in the image of GODS created THEY him…” How ever fair and consistent, such version would be very wrong, as it would mean more GOD than One.

Here is Genesis 1:26 cleared from any virus: “And ELOHIM said, I will make man in MY image, after MY likeness.” Rendering “GOD” in all capital letters and/or retaining “ELOHIM” would iron out the wrinkles of misunderstanding and kill the virus of confusion.

5. “ALL POWER”

Dictionaries define “Power” as “Control, Strength, Energy.” In Matthew 28:18 of the KJV 1611 you will read Christ’s great commission to His Apostles, “All power is given to Me in heaven and in earth…” But the New KJV 1984 reads: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth…” Other translations like the New International Version, New World Translation and the Scofield Bible also say “authority”, not “power”.

Dictionaries define “Authority” as a “Right to rule, command or enforce orders vested by somebody to another.” Power and authority are not the same especially when you say, “All”. All enforcement right, lordship and dominion were granted by GOD to HIS Chosen Christ, even the authority to forgive sins, to raise the dead, to baptize with The HOLY SPIRIT and to be worshipped. This right is not just special but general – as in, every right over every man in all circumstances for all time, whether on earth or in heaven. GOD will put everything, every principality and earthly dominion under HIS Son’s feet -- except HIMSELF -- because “All Authority” (general right) is not “All Power” (overall control). For GOD is “ALL IN ALL”.

“For HE ‘has put everything under His feet.’ Now when it says that ‘everything’ was put under Him, it is clear that this does not include GOD HIMSELF who put everything under Christ. When HE has done this, then the Son Himself will be made subject to HIM WHO put everything under Him, so that GOD may be all in all.” (I Cor. 15:27-28)

The central and ultimate controlling POWER remains with GOD. So, all those Bible Translations except the old KJV are right in rendering “All authority”, because when you say “All power”, that would mean, Christ is on top of everything without excepting GOD, His FATHER. Like the other viruses that have entered our Churches’ system, “All Power” is a virus that continues to corrupt the thinking of our brethren.

You trust Christ, because you believe in GOD. You do obeisance to Christ, because you worship GOD. Do it without doubting; for it pleased GOD, His FATHER that before HIS Son, angels and men will bow their knees, and every tongue confess that “Christ is LORD”, to the glory of GOD, His FATHER.

“Therefore, GOD exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every name…” (Phil. 2:9-11)

6. “Lord”, “JEHOVAH”, “YAHWEH”

There is a mantra in the Old Testament that is of paramount importance, but is the most controversial of all – the sacred Name of GOD! Moses received GOD’s Name on Mount Sinai just before he went back to Egypt to liberate the Hebrew people. Every time he spoke to Pharaoh, and every time his people asked by what authority he launched his mission he would mention GOD’s eternal Name.

“Moreover GOD said to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel: The LORD GOD of your fathers, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is MY Name forever, and this is MY memorial to all generations.” (Exo. 3:15, KJV)

Perhaps you wonder, as I did, why the Name of GOD in this verse was a common term (The LORD), while in other translations It was written more like a proper name: “JEHOVAH” or “YAHWEH”. What’s the matter with all these translations! What strains of viruses are these that attacked the very Name of the ALMIGHTY? How come a great number of Christians can sit comfortably without really knowing the most sacred Name of GOD? Well, most of them just call HIM by the name of HIS Son, “Jesus Christ”. That is one of the terrible effects of the contagious virus infecting the mentality of Christians today.

The Name of GOD, the FATHER consists of four Hebrew letters: yode ( י ), hay ( ה ), waw (ו ), hay ( ה ). Hebrew scholars say, these are all consonant letters: JHVH (superseded by, YHWH). Since its pronunciation became a subject of speculation, theologians ventured on guesswork for centuries without a definite resolution. The Jews who are supposed to know the holy Name did not care to rectify the weird trial names invented by the Gentiles. For a good reason (that GOD’s Name may not be blasphemed by the uncircumcised) their Priests would mumble when they invoke the Name. And their Scribes would conceal ha Shem by replacing IT with “Adonai” (Lord). Thus the Christians groped in the dark trying to discover the correct utterance of GOD’s Name.

My long personal search brought me far back to the first century writings of Yosef Ben Mattityahu (better known as Josephus Flavius). In the 5th volume of his Wars of the Jews, he wrote that the characters of the sacred Name were “four vowels”. Joy filled my heart to find a precious clue to my inkling that Tetragrammaton consists of dual-character letters (both consonants and vowels). Josephus’ statement breaks the scholars’ long-held consonantal view which led to the disgraceful Jehovah-Yahweh experiments. By the way, “Jehovah” means, Jeho destroys; and “Yahweh” means, Yah ruins.

Now, by GOD’s grace, I have discovered a simple way to know the right oration of GOD’s Name. Let me show you; please, go to Psalms 68:4 of the New King James Version.

“Sing to GOD, sing praises to HIS Name; Extol HIM WHO rides on the clouds by HIS Name YAH, and rejoice before HIM.”

Even in the Bible translation used by the Jehovah’s Witnesses you will read this:

“Sing you to GOD, make melody to HIS Name; raise up (a song) to the ONE riding through the desert plains as JAH, which is HIS Name; and jubilate before HIM.”

“JAH” is a latinized form of “YAH.” Biblical scholars of the Jehovah’s Witnesses knew that the Hebrew alphabet has no letters “J” and “V”; I don’t know why they keep holding on to “J” in their transcriptions. By the way, this is not the only passage that shows “JAH” (pronounced, YOH with a guttural sound proceeding from the throat). In the New World Translation (Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Version) you will read in Psalms 111:1, 112:1, 113:1 -- “Praise JAH you people”. “Praise YAH you people” is in Hebrew, “Hallelu-YAH”. But the KJV and most other Versions still carry the virus-infected, “Praise The LORD” until now. So, you hear some Christians yelling, “Hallelu-iah Jesus” or “Hallelu-iah to the Lamb” exhibiting naked unawareness. You better disinfect yourself.

Now, if the Name of GOD has four letters how come “YAH” has only three? The hidden letter is “U”; it is fused in “A” which is pronounced as in, “ALL”. Here is the complete picture of GOD’s great Name: YAUH. That’s IT – Praise YAUH!

And who introduced “The LORD” in the English translation of the Old Testament in lieu of the real Name of GOD? While Eusebius Hieronymus (known as St. Jerome) replaced the Name with “DOMINUS” in his Latin translation (Vulgate), William Tyndale used “The LORD” in his English translation as a substitute. But he did it with an appropriate footnote, signifying his very risky act. Unfortunately, KJV and other later translations copied Tyndale’s “The LORD” without any accompanying footnote; that is why the majority of Christians today do not know what’s going on. They just wonder every time they encounter “The LORD GOD” side by side with “Lord Jesus” in the New Testament, or this passage with two Lords: “The LORD said to my Lord…” (Psalms 110:1) Paul said in I Cor. 8:6, “To us there is only…one Lord.” Therefore, the correct rendition should be:

“YAUH said to my Lord, Sit at MY right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

And,

“You shall not put YAUH your GOD to the test.” (Mat. 4:7)

With this translation everything looks fine and wonderful. Oh, Hallelu-YAUH!


7. “JESUS”

Personally, I’m so deeply in love with the Person called by the name, “Jesus Christ”; every Christian should love Him, our Savior. Most of us have learned to love not only the Person but also the sound and lettering of His name, “Jesus.” Since childhood we cherished the name of the One we admire most.

With all due respect, let me take up the five-letter word “JESUS” just for a moment, not the Person called by that name, Whom we all adore. “JESUS” is an English transcription of the Greek, “IESO-US”. The Greek term came from the original Hebrew name, “YSU” ( ע ש י ). “YSU” means, SALVATION. And Salvation goes with three pairs of handsome meanings: Liberation (Justification), Safety (Sanctification), and Conquest (Glorification). We ought to love YSU the more, because this is the original Name of the Christ, the Son of the living GOD.

“SALVATION is found in no one else, for there is no other Name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

“A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him… And all mankind will see GOD’s SALVATION.” (Luke 3:4-6)

“HE has raised up a horn of SALVATION for us in the house of HIS servant David… SALVATION from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us.” (Luke 1:69-71)

“Sovereign YAUH, as YOU have promised, YOU now dismiss YOUR servant in peace, for my eyes have seen YOUR SALVATION which YOU have prepared in the sight of all people,
a Light for revelation to the Gentiles and for Glory to YOUR people Israel.” (Luke 2:29-32)

The real Name of our Lord and Savior is, YSU. “Y” sounds “Ee” and “U” is pronounced as in, “GUARD”. For a long time most Christians have neglected to glorify the FATHER’s Name. Now, it’s so good to pray to our FATHER GOD, YAUH in the name of HIS Son, YSU CHRISTO!

Why was the Name rendered differently in Greek with a suffix “US” when IESO should have been close enough? You know, the Grecian way of emphasizing the greatness of a person was by adding “US” to relate him with Zeus, their god (like Joseph-US, Athanasi-US, Dionisi-US, etc). And how did it become “JESUS” when there was no letter “J” in Hebrew? Well, the Hebrew “Y” was Latinized into “J”; that is why it was rendered “JESU” and “JESUS”. Very sadly, the distant drifting of the term “JESUS” from the Hebrew original has corrupted its meaning, “Behold SUS”. Therefore, my brotherly advice is, we go back to the main stream, to the fountain of Salvation, to YSU. In YSU we are safe. With YSU the Jews will understand and be impressed, while the Muslims would readily relate with Him Whom they reverently call, ISA alahisalam (ISA, peace be upon Him). But most of all, GOD may be pleased to hear spiritual babies calling HIS holy Name and the blessed Name of HIS Beloved!

8.“THE WORD WAS GOD”

An elderly woman asked my favor to accompany her to their Church where a Pastor was delivering a lively sermon. The reverend said that his father died so well, because he just slept that night and when he woke up next morning he was already dead. Thinking it was a joke I smiled. But everyone was serious; they did not sense the humor or perhaps they were sobered by the thought of death. When the service was over I related to the old lady the funny jest of her Pastor, how his dead father woke up. And she laughed so heartily and after a while burst again laughing.

For some reasons there are relevant points (or errors) that go unnoticed for sometime, until something or someone draws our attention in an unrestricted condition. John 1:1 is an outstanding example: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD and the Word was GOD.” To most of us, Christians, the passage was great and flawless. But, eventually, as you keep reading that for many years, you will notice that something is off-beam here. All of us believe in One GOD and here is a Bible verse telling us that GOD had a companion GOD called, “The Word”. GOD with another Word-GOD makes two GODs.

That concept is not compatible with the Jewish and Christian teachings. So I dared to see what other Bible translations have. Of the five Versions that I scanned, even the latest ones say the same thing: “The Word was GOD.” Only one of them seems to perceive the anomaly, the New World Translation. It states, “And the word was a god.” It’s still god although in small letters. A god does not mean, GOD. A god is mighty but not the ALMIGHTY. The majority of Christians will not agree that The Word which materialized in the person of Christ is just a mighty god. Of course, He is very Mighty!

On the other hand, hardliner monotheist Jews, Muslims and Christians would always turn their backs on those who believe two (or three) GODs how ever we convince them that three equal and distinct GODs are just one GOD; because their GOD has commanded them that they must “have no other GODs” before Him (Exo. 20:3), for their GOD is jealous and would remember the offense of idolaters to the third and fourth generation. Those who recognize other GODs are considered by the Jewish Law as haters of GOD, violators of the first commandment, punishable by death. In fact the greatest legacy of Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christism and Islam) is the inviolable acknowledgement of the One True GOD.

“There is one GOD and one mediator between GOD and man, the Man, Christ YSU.” (I Tim. 2:5)

“One GOD and FATHER of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Eph 4:6)

“But to us there is only one GOD, the FATHER, and one Lord, YSU Christo.” (I Cor. 8:6)

“FATHER…that they might know You, the only true GOD and YSU Christo whom You have sent.” (John 17:1, 3)

Christians should not offend the Jews and the Muslims on a fundamental (One GOD) tenet which our Lord and His Apostles have also confirmed to be right. Seeing that there cannot be two GODs together, it is urgent that we reexamine our belief and find out the root of the word “GOD” used in John 1:1, which was written in Greek language. And this is what you will find: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with THEOS (GOD) and the Word was THEIOS (GODlike).” You must see Strong’s Greek Dictionary if you want to confirm this definition of Theios. Changing Theios with Theos was the virus – a very devastating strain reinforcing the Vulgate insertion, “John’s comma”.

That Christ “was Godlike” is a very familiar Christian principle which does not contraindicate with any sound Biblical doctrine. It goes well with Apostle
Paul’s statement that YSU Christo was “in the form of GOD”. (Phil. 2:6) The divine nature is SPIRIT ever aflame with Grace, Truth and Energy. When YSU received the HOLY SPIRIT He obtained the form or nature of GOD, full of grace, truth and enthusiasm (John !:14). Thus, He became GODlike. And even Christians became GODlike too when they received The HOLY SPIRIT. They were called “gods” and “children” of GOD (Psalms 82:1, 6). But the Christ is not just a god or just a son of GOD. He is God (with a capital G) and the Son (with a capital S) because GOD (in all capital letters) gave to Him The HOLY SPIRIT without limit unlike other men whose portions were according to the measure of their faith. “For He whom GOD has sent speaks the words of GOD; for GOD does not give The SPIRIT by measure to Him. The FATHER loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. ” (John 3:34)

Yet the Apostles did not call Him “God” (except Thomas who was not yet an apostle at that instance) to avoid the ire of the Jews and confusion of the Gentiles. The safe and exact titles adopted by the Apostles were, “Christ” and “Lord”. Here is Peter’s first public declaration the moment he received the awaited HOLY SPIRIT on the day of Pentecost: “Therefore, let all Israel be assured of this, that GOD has made this YSU, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” (Acts 2:36)

Lord, Christ and Son of GOD are all so great superhuman titles that speak of the GODlikeness of YSU. The Jews sensed this, that is why they accuse Him of blasphemy (“make Yourself GOD”) just by saying, He was the Son of GOD. Forgiving sins, not scolding those who knelt before Him or call Him Mighty One (God), plus His miraculous works which no other human being before Him has ever done, boldly and articulately testified of His GODlikeness. (John 10:36-37)

9.“TO THE SON HE SAYS”

Both the Old and New King James Versions translated Hebrews 1:8 this way: “But to the Son he says...” The New International Version states differently: “But about the Son he says...” (“he says” was supplied by translators; it was not in the original text). The New World Translation has a better delivery: “But with reference to the Son...” The best rendition should be: “But concerning the Son…”

There is a world of difference when you say, “To the Son” and “Concerning the Son.” When you say, “To the Son” you are addressing to Him the immediate words that follow: “Your Throne O GOD is forever...” That is offbeat, because the Son was not yet given a throne. Whereas when you say, “Concerning the Son”, dialogues follow wherein you find something said about the Son, “You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore GOD, Your GOD, has set You above Your companions by anointing You with the oil of joy…You remain the same, and Your years will never end.”

“To” and “he says” were unappreciable viruses; nonetheless their entry into the body of Scriptures lends support to the other toxins scattered within the precious pages of the Bible. You know, Paul was quoting King David who was talking to GOD first (Psalms 45:6-7; 102:25-27) “Your throne, O GOD…” He was not talking to the Son yet, until after describing the eternal and righteous qualities of GOD’s throne and scepter. Then David talked to the Son next, appreciating His passion for righteousness and His incorruptibility that made Him perfectly fit for the throne and scepter of His GOD.

10. HEBREWS 4:8

“For if Jesus had given them rest…” All modern Translations except this Old KJV have treated the error: “For if Joshua had given them rest…” But the injury left a keloid. Many Christians wrongly believed that Joshua, who conquered Palestine and HE who gave rest, was “Jesus GOD”; and that Christ was already walking on earth in person during the days of Joshua.

11. REVELATIONS 1:11

Here is another malicious insertion in the King James Version (Old and New) unnoticed by Scofield: “Saying, ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,’ and” what you see write in a book…” The decoders of the New International Version and of The New World Translation found it out and omitted the insertion. “Which said: ‘Write on a scroll what you see and send it…” But, again, the damage has been done; because it came to the mind of Christians that Christ (the First and the Last of Rev. 1:17) was the Alpha and the Omega of Rev. 1:8, WHO was the ALMIGHTY. Putting it clean, GOD is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the End, the origin and the destination. Christ is the First and the Last, the first in importance, the firstborn from the dead, the author and the finisher of our faith. (Heb. 12:2)

12. “GOD WAS MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH”

“GOD was manifested in the flesh” was the blatant declaration of the New KJV. It’s just a slight twist from the Old KJV’s “manifest” (without “ed”). New KJV acknowledges that “the” (in italics) was not in the manuscript. The New International Version and the New World Translation acknowledged further that “GOD” was not in the original text also; what you find there was, “He appeared in a body” or “He was made manifest in flesh.” What seems to be a simple variance (from “He” to “GOD”) has turned the rudder that drove the whole ship in a totally different direction!

“He” refers to Christ, not to GOD, as you see in the following self-explanatory descriptions: “justified in the SPIRIT, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.” All these match up with Christ, and do not apply at all to GOD. “Christ is come in the flesh.” (I John 4:2) GOD did not become flesh; nevertheless, HIS invisible Person was expressed in HIS Son, who is “the exact representation of HIS very Being.” (Hebrews 1:3; Col. 1:15) “Now to the KING Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the Only GOD, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” (I Tim. 1:17)


CONCLUSION

Evidently, there was a determined plot to wreck the very foundation of the Christian Faith. There were not so many viruses released into the entrails of the Bible Translations (particularly of the Latin Vulgate and the King James Version), but they were marked to strike the core tenets of Christism.

The basic formula for Eternal Life, the very heart of Christ’s teaching was the major target of the conspiracy. And the bull’s eye was hit. The recognition of one, eternal, immortal, invisible GOD was blown off with the formation of malignant “Trinity” and “Oneness” tumors. The Christ-Rock foundation of the Church was covered up with the coronation of “God the Son” catechism and pushing backstage the “Son of GOD” of the Bible. The holy Name of GOD was shrouded with various satanic terms, and the blessed Name of Christ was concealed by the epithet of a Gentile god!

Satan was not able to prevent the compilation and publication of the Holy Scriptures, but he has successfully injected spiritual viruses into the Bible Translations that spoiled the vital files and jeopardized humanity’s search for Salvation and Immortality.
